MCSS Superintendent dedicates new ECD Center? Monrovia, Liberia, October 3, 2023: There was a scene of jubilation today at Moses K. Weefur elementary school as Superintendent Zawolo dedicated a new ECD Center at the school. Scores of parents, community dwellers, school administrators as well as members of the Fula Community cheered following the historic dedication of a new ECD Center for their kids. The parents could not hold back their admiration and appreciation for President Weah for making education a priority. They thanked Superintendent Zawolo for implementing the president's vision for quality, decent, and affordable education. The occasion was characterized by excitement, speeches, and donations from some members of the Fula Community as well as members of the MCSS instructional department. The euphoria that exuded their hearts to have donated to the school was exceptional. They exuded friendship and goodwill. The chairlady of the Little White Chapel Community, Madam Joyce D. Sagbe donated the amount 5,000LRD, while Madam Fatumata Koroma pledged a mattress for the kids. Madam Assatu Janeh, who represented the Fula Community donated (10usd), while Kadiatu Barry also pledged a mattress for the kids. 3 MCSS principals, including the coordinator for basic education, Mr. James D. Toe, pledged a 25kg bag of rice each for the kids; among several others. Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony, MCSS Superintendent, Hon. Isaac Saye-Lakpoh Zawolo pointed out that the vision to have ECD Centers across the MCSS is not his own vision but the vision of H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah. Also, speaking at the occasion, the MCSS Assistant Superintendent encouraged parents to prioritize the early education of their kids. He noted that kids who begin early education most often admire being in school. He furthered that research has shown that most of those kids usually end up being college or university graduates.
